The Manly Arts Festival Committee are inviting northern beaches artists to submit proposals for the 2010 Manly Arts Festival program. Artists, musicians, performers, arts organisations and the community are invited to participate in the festival by running their own events to promote and celebrate the creative activity in the Manly area.
Venues such as galleries, cafes, restaurants and other spaces are also invited to host and/or organise arts-related events during the Festival. This year’s Festival will be held across Manly and the Northern Beaches region from 3 - 19 September 2010 and will include:
- Visual Arts exhibitions and events
- Music events
- Literary events
- Film events
- Workshops
- Performance events
- Youth events
- Kids events
The Manly Arts Festival is a celebration of the achievements, dedication and innovation of Manly’s creative community. Local artists, professional and amateur alike, are able to participate by organising arts-related events across Manly. These events are complimented by other events held annually like Manly’s Big Draw, and the 24/7 Youth Film Festival.
The Manly Arts Festival is managed by members of Manly’s creative community on the Manly Arts Festival Committee, which is convened by Manly Council. The Manly Arts Festival is created by the community for the community - a two week extravaganza of arts events.
